Don't be a Creep
Apple’s WWDC had a lot of unexpected releases around AI that they had already announced 2 years ago. All that’s pretty interesting but I’m hearing a lot of discussion online about how Siri sending messages as the human is creepy. I don’t disagree, and I think the solution for that is pretty straightforward: messages that your agent sends should be sent from your agent. IE, if I have Siri send a text to 5 friends to organize a dinner party, instead of it coming from Ryan and written as coming from Ryan, why not word it as “Hey friends, Ryan wants to organize a dinner party; are you all free on Friday evening this week?” The creep factor would immediately evaporate.
